HIV Symptoms
While HIV patients experience no symptoms at all, for those who do, joint pain and weight loss are among the many symptoms of HIV.

HIV and AIDS
Not all HIV-positive patients have AIDS, but, in most cases, HIV progresses to AIDS. Depending on the person, it can take years for HIV to develop into AIDS.

The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is an incurable condition that can be spread through sexual contact or blood transfusions. Once someone contracts HIV, the virus starts to destroy vital immune system cells known as T cells. Once a patient's T cell count drops below 200 cells/mm, his HIV has progressed to AIDS. Currently, almost 40 million people in the world suffer from HIV. This site is for those looking for information, articles and news on HIV.
